Join a brand-new independent specialist school, dedicated to empowering 30 secondary-aged pupils (11-16 years) with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Situated in a stunning, recently refurbished residential setting, our school features modern facilities and exceptional resources. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support to our secondary-aged students. Job Responsibility:
Assist the class teacher in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons
Develop and implement individualised learning plans tailored to student needs
Monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
Cultivate a safe, supportive, and positive classroom atmosphere
Collaborate effectively with a talented and passionate teaching team
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and their families
Contribute to our positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements:
A valid UK driving licence is essential
Experience supporting students with SEMH needs is preferred
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a strong sense of purpose
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
1+ years of experience in a similar role
Relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience
