We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our secondary team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities and receive the guidance necessary to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Job Responsibility:
Support teachers in delivering personalised learning programmes for students with SEN
Assist students with learning tasks, classroom activities, and practical exercises
Promote positive behaviour and social development
Support students with personal care and mobility as required
Help prepare and adapt learning resources to meet individual student needs
Monitor and report on student progress and development
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is highly desirable
Understanding of SEN strategies, differentiation, and inclusive education practices
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
