Job Description

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant | 1:1 Support | Local Primary Schools. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). Salary: £88.92 - £100 per day (Weekly Pay). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. We are seeking dedicated 1:1 Support Assistants to work within EYFS, KS1, and KS2 settings. You will support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and Speech and Language challenges. This is the perfect springboard for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, or Primary Teachers.

Job Responsibility

  • Personalised 1:1 Support: Implement tailored activities to meet EHCP targets
  • Sensory & Visual Learning: Use creative tools like PECS and 'Now & Next' boards
  • Holistic Care: Support children with social skills, emotional regulation, and personal care
  • Collaborative Support: Work with Class Teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Role: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in EYFS, KS1, KS2
  • Experience: school, nursery, healthcare, or lived experience with SEND
  • Strong communication skills to build trust with children and professional links with parents/staff
  • Commitment to Safeguarding and child welfare
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply)
