Job Responsibility
Provide one-on-one and small group support
Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes self-esteem, independence, and social interaction
Promote positive behaviour using established school techniques
Collaborate with the SENDco and teaching staff to monitor, record, and report on pupil achievement and progress
Ensure the safety of all pupils, providing assistance with personal care or mobility where required
Requirements
Minimum of 6 months of experience working in UK schools or a care giving capacity (Special Education/Autism experience highly preferred)
Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Eligibility to work in the UK
Strong verbal and written skills
Genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs
