Job Description:

A wonderful term‑time only nursery is looking for a kind, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and work with small groups of children with complex needs. This is a high‑impact, deeply rewarding role where your support makes a genuine difference every day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting individual and small‑group learning through play
  • Using visuals, routines and sensory strategies to help children regulate
  • Helping children develop communication, early social skills and confidence
  • Working closely with the SENCo and lead practitioners to follow support plans
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with both the children and their families
  • Creating a warm, nurturing environment where children can thrive

Requirements:

  • Experience in Early Years, SEN, care or nursery settings
  • Someone patient, gentle, and consistent
  • A great communicator who can work collaboratively
  • A positive, nurturing presence
  • Someone reliable and passionate about helping children with additional needs
  • A team player who is happy to get stuck in
