This is a brand new school, who will be opening its doors in late 2026 (tbc) and will be a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious school for children and young people aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With a capacity of 72 students, our vision is to create a safe, enriching and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive. We're looking for enthusiastic and skilled general classroom teachers (in primary and/or secondary) who are deeply passionate about working with children.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning for our pupils
Plan and deliver engaging lessons
Set personalised targets
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
Monitor progress and reporting to parents, carers, and senior staff
Lead on a subject or curriculum area and supporting colleagues
Manage and supervise support staff within your classroom
Maintain compliance with safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience of teaching a thematic curriculum within primary or secondary education
Experience in special school settings, particularly with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
Working understanding of ASC and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including complex presentations
Nice to have:
Additional qualifications in SEND
Experience in curriculum development for learners with SEND
Nurturing and empathetic relationship building skills
