Job Description:

We are an Ofsted "Outstanding" SEN School (retained June 2024) dedicated to providing exceptional education for children and young adults aged 3-19 with a primary diagnosis of autism, most of whom also have additional learning, social, emotional, communication, health, and care needs. Job Responsibility:

  • Providing excellent delivery, teaching, and course leadership to learners across the school
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and young people we support
  • Working with pupils to ensure they receive services that deliver the outcomes specified in their individualised, person-centred plans
  • Preparing and delivering schemes of work, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments in line with departmental and awarding body requirements
  • Working collaboratively with allied health professionals as part of a trans-disciplinary team
  • Delivering creative and person-centred lessons to a small group of up to 8 learners in a pre-formal class

Requirements:

  • Passionate, qualified SEND Teacher
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour
