Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Teacher to become part of a committed team in a Special School in Tadworth, Surrey. This position is paid to scale and demands experience with Autistic Children and managing severe challenging behaviour.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach and inspire pupils, creating a supportive and encouraging educational setting
  • Implement high-quality teaching and learning practices tailored to the needs of pupils with special needs and challenging behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to offer comprehensive pupil support
  • Set and uphold high expectations for all pupils, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to achieve their potential

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching and supporting pupils with special needs and challenging behaviour
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • A solid educational background across various subjects
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and relevant learning programs
  • Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation

Nice to have:

Experienced in working with young people who have SEMH and challenging behaviour
