Job Description

Are you a skilled teacher ready to make a profound, measurable impact? Whether you are an experienced SEND practitioner or a mainstream teacher looking to specialise, this is your chance to build something from the ground up. We are launching a brand-new, purpose-built secondary provision for students aged 11-16 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for an ambitious educator to join our founding team and spearhead our Nurture provisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Pioneer the Nurture Model: Establish a high-functioning, low-arousal classroom environment that bridges the gap between emotional regulation and academic achievement
  • Data-Driven Individualisation: Utilise Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to create bespoke, highly effective learning pathways
  • Behaviour Innovation: Move away from traditional behaviour management to lead with non-confrontational, therapeutic de-escalation techniques.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. Primary-trained teachers with strong literacy/numeracy intervention skills or Mainstream Secondary teachers looking to transition are highly encouraged to apply
  • Resilient, analytical, and highly adaptable. You view complex behaviours as communication and possess the emotional intelligence to navigate them
  • Prior experience or a deep theoretical understanding of ASC, ADHD, or SEMH is vital.
