Job Description:

Become a champion for children with special needs in a supportive and rewarding long-term contract role starting September! As a dedicated SEN Teacher, you will be instrumental in shaping the lives of young learners with autism, ADHD, and severe learning difficulties. You'll craft engaging and tailored lessons, creating a structured and consistent classroom environment where these children can thrive. You'll be empowered to make a real difference, working collaboratively within a supportive team. You will directly impact the lives of these children, helping them reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the primary curriculum
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students with complex needs
  • Employ effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive classroom atmosphere
  • Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., therapists, teaching assistants) to develop and implement individualised education programs
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching children with SEN in a UK primary school setting
  • Experience with children with autism, ADHD, and severe learning difficulties
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for supporting children with complex needs
  • Commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices
  • A positive and proactive approach to teaching
  • Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities
