Position: SEN teacher QTS. Location: Benfleet, Essex. Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent position. Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications. Start Date: ASAP. Qualification: SEN experience, QTS. Randstad Education is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teachers for opportunities within schools. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment where children with special educational needs can truly thrive. This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of SEN students; Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils, setting clear targets and monitoring progress; Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students learning and development; Assess pupils abilities and progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as necessary; Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies (e.g., therapists, psychologists) to provide holistic support; Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social and emotional development; Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on pupil progress for parents and senior management; Participate in professional development to stay updated on SEN best practices and legislation. Preferred Skills: Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment; Strong classroom management; Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour; Be an inspiring and engaging communicator; Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience. Personal Attributes: Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours; Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students; Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style; Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties; Experience up to key stage 3/4; QTS/PGCE equivalent.
