Job Description:

Seeking a dedicated Qualified SEN Teacher to join a wonderful SEN School in Meldreth. This role is perfectly suited for a practitioner who excels in a multidisciplinary environment, working with students who have profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), complex health needs, and physical disabilities. Your role extends far beyond the traditional classroom; you are a facilitator of communication, independence, and quality of life.

Job Responsibility:

  • Craft and deliver sensory-based, highly individualised learning programs
  • Integrate assistive technologies and Total Communication strategies
  • Utilise small-steps assessment frameworks to monitor development
  • Lead a classroom team and work alongside onsite therapists and nurses
  • Maintain a highly structured, low-arousal environment
  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience or profound commitment to complex needs education
  • Understanding of or strong desire to learn sensory integration, PECS, and assistive learning technologies
  • Ability to remain calm, steady, and nurturing
  • Collaborative spirit and team leadership
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to process one
