Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher for a long-term opportunity. Job Responsibility:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students with various special educational needs
  • Assessing student progress through formal and informal methods, analysing performance data to inform instruction
  • Adapting learning materials to ensure accessibility for all students
  • Collaborating effectively with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals
  • Fostering a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Creating differentiated lesson plans
  • implementing assessment strategies
  • modifying resources
  • working with support staff and parents
  • and managing classroom behaviour

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in teaching students with a range of special educational needs within the UK education system
  • A thorough understanding of SEN policies, effective intervention strategies, and current best practices in SEN education
  • Demonstrated resilience, patience, initiative, and strong classroom leadership skills
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A current, clear Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one immediately
  • Experience in adapting teaching methods and resources for diverse learning requirements
