Job Description

OFSTED Outstanding SEN School in picturesque location is looking for a fun and creative secondary teacher to join their team starting ASAP (or as soon after taking any notice period into consideration). This school is invested in meeting the needs of all their 70 + pupils aged between 5 and 19years. The school currently supports mixed ability SEN learners including Autism, Down syndrome, SLD, PMLD and other complex needs within a part residential setting. The school offers a extremely successful and balanced secondary curriculum. The school offers brilliant grounds, modern and spacious classrooms and aims to offer all their learners a broad curriculum inclusive of creative arts, adventure walks and horse riding. The school strives to offer excellence as standard and the award winning senior leadership are dedicated to exploring and enrolling pioneering child development strategies. The school is recognised for being a warm and welcoming environment and recent Ofsted praised the school and team for its strong team atmosphere and family ethos.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing engaging and interactive lessons
  • Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
  • Planning and preparing all subjects within the current national curriculum

Requirements

  • Teaching Qualification
  • Relevant teaching experience (Must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
  • Relevant knowledge of the current national curriculum
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
