Your mission: to craft a secure, nurturing, and high-energy learning environment where students with complex needs don't just participate, but excel. Secure your next permanent or long-term role today. This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of SEN students
  • Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils, setting clear targets and monitoring progress
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support student's learning and development
  • Assess pupils' abilities and progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as necessary
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies (e.g., therapists, psychologists) to provide holistic support
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social and emotional development
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on pupil progress for parents and senior management
  • Participate in professional development to stay updated on SEN best practices and legislation

Requirements:

  • SEN experience
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience
  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students
  • Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style
