Position: SEN teacher QTS. Location: Cambridge. Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent position. Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications. Start Date: ASAP. Qualification: SEN experience, QTS. Randstad Education is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teachers for opportunities within schools in Cambridge. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment where children with special educational needs can truly thrive. This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of SEN students
  • Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils, setting clear targets and monitoring progress
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support student's learning and development
  • Assess pupil's abilities and progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as necessary
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies (e.g., therapists, psychologists) to provide holistic support
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social and emotional development
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on pupil progress for parents and senior management
  • Participate in professional development to stay updated on SEN best practices and legislation

  • Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
