Job Description

We're looking for a passionate, resilient and creative Teacher to join our City Hub team. You'll work with pupils who have often felt let down by mainstream education - young people who need someone who can teach and truly connect. You'll deliver high-quality teaching across a broad curriculum, with knowledge of Maths at KS3/KS4 along with Functional Skills being particularly advantageous. Additional subject strengths or personal interests are welcomed; they help us offer a rich, engaging and flexible learning experience. Small groups of 3-6 learners, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and tailor learning effectively. Some 1:1 teaching, especially to support transition into group learning. TA support available, including 1:1 targeted work under your direction and TA allocation for groups of 4-6 where needed. Adaptive, relational teaching that prioritises engagement, wellbeing and progress. Holistic curriculum delivery, blending academic, personal and life-skills learning. Manageable planning and marking, with a strong emphasis on creativity, innovation and pupil voice.

  • Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development and whole-team approaches
  • Model high-level safeguarding practice at all times

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent
  • Ability to teach a specialist subject and contribute to wider curriculum areas
  • A reflective practitioner committed to professional development
