Job Description:

Randstad Education is proud to be working with a leading independent specialist provision committed to creating a nurturing, personalised learning environment for children with autism and a range of additional needs - including ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory sensitivities, and associated behavioural challenges. This therapeutic setting supports 105 students aged 5-16 and delivers a curriculum designed for success, inclusion, and motivation. The school takes a holistic approach, supporting not just educational but also social and emotional development, empowering every child with the skills and confidence they need to thrive now and in the future.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with students, supporting learning and engagement
  • Assist the teacher with planning and delivering activities
  • Support learners with varied and complex needs across the curriculum
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress under teacher guidance
  • Promote a positive, safe, and structured learning environment
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing in learners

Requirements:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience in SEND settings is desirable but not essential
  • A genuine interest in SEN and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication, patience, and empathy
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Adaptable and proactive, with a team-focused approach
