Job Description:

Are you an experienced professional with a deep-seated dedication to helping children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you looking to make a genuine impact on their schooling? We are currently seeking a compassionate and attentive SEN Support Specialist to provide bespoke aid and improve student results.

Job Responsibility:

  • Instructional Support: Assist in planning and executing vibrant lessons that are adapted for various student abilities
  • Academic Development: Help pupils understand curriculum topics and develop essential scholastic skills
  • Inclusive Environment: Foster a nurturing and welcoming classroom culture that promotes participation and a love for learning
  • Progress Tracking: Observe and record student growth, providing the required assistance and helpful feedback

Requirements:

  • Hands-on, non-teaching experience supporting pupils within a school environment
  • Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills to relay instructions and understand student needs
  • Previous experience working in schools, including familiarity with personal care tasks
  • The ability to stay calm and patient when working with students who have different learning speeds, needs, and behaviours
  • A current Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or the willingness to apply for a new one immediately
  • Legal authorisation to work in the UK
  • Ready to begin employment straight away
