Job Description:

Are you a passionate Secondary SEN Teacher looking to make a genuine difference? This is your chance to join a supportive SEMH school in Bury, helping students with special educational needs (SEMH) thrive both academically and personally. You'll work with a caring, dedicated team, delivering tailored lessons, supporting behaviour management, and helping students reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for students with SEN, including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and MLD
  • Support students' social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each pupil
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt strategies to meet individual needs
  • Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching secondary students with SEMH
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
