Job Description:

Science Teacher SEN Specialism - Teaching Through Discovery. Every learner deserves the chance to explore science in a way that makes sense to them. Are you a thoughtful and enthusiastic Science Teacher who can adapt learning for students with special educational needs? We are hiring a Science Teacher to lead creative, inclusive lessons tailored for students with complex SEN, including Autism, ADHD, PMLD, and SLD. Your role will be to promote learning through hands-on science and build trust through supportive teaching.

Job Responsibility:

  • Modify science content for diverse abilities and communication needs
  • Align lesson plans with EHCP objectives
  • Deliver science through visual, tactile, and real-life contexts
  • Encourage curiosity and critical thinking
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, including emotional care

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • UK right to work (no sponsorship)
  • Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Background in SEN education within the UK
  • Confident approach to classroom and behaviour management
  • Commitment to weekday availability, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
