SEN Teacher (Primary) - Contract & Permanent Roles Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex Salary: £30,000 - £46,000 (MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance) Contract Type: Full-Time (Permanent and Long-Term Contract options available) The Opportunity Are you a specialist educator with a passion for unlocking the potential of children with complex needs? Your Role & Impact As an SEN Teacher, you will look beyond the diagnosis to see the child, adapting your pedagogy to ensure every student thrives: Bespoke Curriculum Delivery: Adapt the National Curriculum to meet the sensory and cognitive needs of your pupils. EHCP Leadership: Work at the center of a multi-disciplinary team to implement and track Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets. Communication Specialist: Utilise PECS, Makaton, or Signalong to provide a voice for non-verbal or pre-verbal learners. Nurturing Environment: Create a low-arousal classroom that promotes emotional regulation and reduces anxiety. Supervision: Lead a team of dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide high-quality 1:1 and small group intervention. What We Are Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. SEN Experience: Proven experience teaching children with ASD, SLD, or complex needs (Special school or Mainstream SRP experience). Adaptability: A teacher who can pivot their lesson plan in the moment to follow a child's interest or sensory requirements.
