Ready to make a real difference in a child's life? We're looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide crucial support to a primary school student in Crawley. This full-time role starts immediately and is perfect for an experienced professional passionate about helping children thrive. You'll work within a supportive school environment, helping a student with additional needs reach their full potential.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing dedicated, one-on-one support during lessons and activities
  • Helping to adapt learning materials to suit the student's individual needs
  • Monitoring and tracking the student's academic and personal progress
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals about the student's development
  • Offering pastoral care and promoting positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional well-being
  • Assisting the student during school trips and other extracurricular activities

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • A high degree of patience, empathy, and understanding for children with diverse learning needs
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Having experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, or speech and language difficulties, is a significant advantage
