Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistant - Crawley | Full-Time, Term-Time | Immediate Start Available. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Crawley. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN), supporting them academically, socially, and emotionally within a nurturing school environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs
  • assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons
  • help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom
  • support pupils with learning activities
  • implement behaviour management strategies
  • encourage independence and resilience
  • communicate regularly with staff, parents, and external professionals
  • contribute to creating a safe and engaging classroom environment
  • participate in staff meetings
  • take part in ongoing professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (in schools or relevant settings)
  • strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • positive, patient, and proactive attitude
  • ability to commute to the Crawley area
  • legal right to work in the UK
  • minimum of 1 year working with children with additional needs

  • strong professional communication
  • relevant experience or educational qualifications in SEN, childcare, or a related field
