Job Description

Are you an accomplished Mathematics teacher seeking a rewarding career transition into specialist education? Job Responsibility

  • Curriculum Design & Delivery: Adapt, implement, and review personalised Mathematics programmes and schemes of work tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Targeted Interventions: Deliver high-quality instruction via 1:1 and small group sessions, focusing on conceptual understanding, confidence building, and emotional regulation
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with Site Lead Teachers, Learning Managers, and external stakeholders to provide comprehensive assessments, progress tracking, and transition planning
  • Safeguarding & Advocacy: Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management, ensuring a secure and inclusive learning environment
  • Professional Development: Engage actively in subject-specific curriculum development and continuous professional learning to remain at the forefront of SEN best practice

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven track record of successful Mathematics delivery across primary or secondary key stages
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with vulnerable learners, families, and professional colleagues
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance

Nice to have

Prior experience operating within an SEN, Alternative Provision (AP), or specialist resource environment
