Job Description:

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in their lives? Randstad is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Worker to join a thriving school in Cranleigh. We are eager to find the right candidate and expedite the hiring process!

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide individualised and group support to students aged 4-18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Collaborate on and implement IEPs
  • foster a positive learning environment
  • assist students with daily living skills
  • monitor student progress, behaviour, and interventions
  • maintain open communication with parents/guardians
  • deliver individualised and group support sessions for students with diverse SEN
  • collaborate on the creation and execution of Individualised Education Programs (IEPs)
  • create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • assist students with daily living skills and personal care
  • maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and interventions
  • maintain open and regular communication with parents/guardians
  • actively participate in school-wide events and activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months' experience supporting students with SEN
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • strong organisational and time management skills
  • proven behaviour management experience
  • GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent)

Nice to have:

  • Experience in an ABA/CABAS school is highly advantageous
  • ability to track progression in attainment
  • background in youth work
  • de-escalation techniques
  • experience in administering medication
  • experience in managing challenging behaviour
  • experience with autism spectrum disorders
  • experience with learning difficulties
  • experience with social emotional mental health
