Job Description

Justteachers is seeking a caring and committed SEN Learning Mentor to support pupils with additional needs within a specialist educational setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping students develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support
  • Assist students with learning, emotional regulation and social development
  • Support the implementation of EHCP targets
  • Encourage independence and resilience
  • Work alongside teachers and SEND professionals
  • Monitor and record student progress
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement

Requirements

  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy and adaptability
  • Be confident working with pupils who have complex needs
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be committed to inclusive education
  • Possess a positive and nurturing approach
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service
