Job Description:

Are you a skilled SEN HLTA ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have the expertise to lead a classroom and the heart to inspire students with complex needs? Randstad Education is proud to partner with a leading specialist school in Northolt to find a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a long-term position starting this April.

Job Responsibility:

  • Instructional Leadership: Step up to lead classes and deliver specialised sessions, ensuring continuity and excellence in learning
  • Specialist Support: Work closely with students with diverse needs, implementing tailored strategies that foster independence and confidence
  • Collaborative Success: Partner with a multidisciplinary team of teachers and therapists to create a truly holistic educational experience

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as an HLTA or Lead TA within an SEN setting
  • Deep understanding of bespoke communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton) and positive behaviour support
  • A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for removing barriers to learning
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour
  • QTS
