Job Description

We are recruiting for full-time and part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistants (8:45-3:45) to join a brand-new specialist school in Knowle West opening this May. This exciting new provision is being launched by an Ofsted Outstanding provider, recognised for delivering high-quality specialist education and outstanding support for children with additional needs. This is a unique opportunity to join as part of the founding team, working together to build a positive, structured, and supportive environment for young people from the very beginning. About the Role: You will be supporting secondary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), many of whom may also experience: Communication and interaction difficulties; Sensory processing needs; Anxiety and emotional regulation challenges; Behaviour that can be complex or challenging. As a HLTA, you will take on a key role within the classroom, helping to deliver consistent, engaging support and stepping up to lead learning when needed. The focus is on helping pupils develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills as they prepare for adulthood.
