Job Description:

SEN English Teacher - Leading Knowsley School. Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher with a specialism in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a leading school in Knowsley, known for its inclusive approach and supportive team environment. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons to students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with support staff and parents to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed to maximise student achievement

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Minimum of six months of experience teaching students with SEN
  • Experience with Autism, ADHD, SLD, and PMLD is highly desirable
  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
