Randstad Education is seeking a dynamic and compassionate English Teacher with a specialisation in Special Educational Needs (SEN) for a rewarding long-term, full-time position in Knowsley. This role is ideal for an educator who wants to make a profound positive impact on student's educational journeys within a supportive school environment. You will be instrumental in designing and delivering accessible and engaging English lessons tailored to students with diverse SEN requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Design and teach engaging English lessons specifically adapted for students with diverse SEN requirements
Effectively utilise frameworks such as P Scales to adapt curriculum content, ensuring individual student needs are met
Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive
Work closely with the Head Teacher, SEN Coordinator, and a dedicated team of educators and support staff to provide holistic student support
Assist with personal care as may be required

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Demonstrable experience working with SEN students within a UK school environment is essential
A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one quickly
A strong dedication to inclusive teaching principles and a proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to student support
Proficiency in curriculum adaptation (e.g., P Scales), inclusive teaching methodologies, and effective classroom management
