About the Role: Your Opportunity to Impact Lives We are seeking a dedicated and proactive SEN Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school team. In this vital role, you'll be on the front lines, providing essential general supervision and support to students with SEN. You'll work closely with teachers, actively assisting in the classroom and implementing individualised education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
Job Responsibility:
Monitoring student behaviour and intervening when necessary to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
Providing individualised assistance to students, helping them navigate learning activities and achieve their full potential
Communicating regularly with teachers and other school staff, sharing observations and updates on student progress
Playing a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviour
Adhering to all school policies and procedures, prioritising student safety and well-being
Requirements:
Experience working with students with SEN in a secondary school setting
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
A foundation of patience, empathy, and a calm demeanour
The natural ability to build rapport with students and cultivate a positive learning atmosphere
Strong organisational and time-management skills
A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
Relevant experience or qualifications in education or SEN support are preferred
