Job Description:

Assistant Headteacher for Wickham Park school based in West Wickham, Croydon, Working with children aged 5-19 with SEN and SEMH needs. Focusing on the Teaching and Learning within the school and SEN setting. Wickham Park School is a brand-new, independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls.

Job Responsibility:

  • Achieve the highest possible standards and outcomes for the pupils as a member of the senior management team
  • Responsible for the implementation of effective policies and procedures that support the high standards of educational
  • Work to assist the Head teacher in the day to day running of the school
  • Strategically oversee the school’s resources to support the achievement of educational objectives and priorities effectively and efficiently
  • Collaborate with the headteacher to clearly articulate, disseminate, ensure understanding of, and effectively implement the school’s vision among all stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of challenge and support to empower every student to succeed and actively engage in their learning journey
  • Articulate and uphold high expectations by setting ambitious targets for the entire school community
  • Exemplify the school’s values consistently through daily work and actions

Requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS Qualification
  • Have similar SLT experience in an SEN environment
  • Up to date OFSTED and knowledge of the SEN education sector and desired outcomes
  • Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience
