Job Description:

SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant | Primary School Support. Are you an empathetic and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1:1 support role? We are seeking a full-time, temporary Teaching Assistant to provide focused, individual support to a specific child within our welcoming primary school environment. This is a unique opportunity to make a profound and immediate impact on a pupil's learning journey and well-being.

Job Responsibility:

  • You will provide tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • deliver targeted intervention sessions
  • assist the pupil in navigating social and emotional situations
  • help monitor and record the pupil's progress and behaviour
  • prepare resources specific to the pupil's learning needs

Requirements:

  • Has previous experience working with primary-aged children with special educational needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, communication difficulties, or specific learning needs)
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both with the pupil and with school staff/parents
  • Is able to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Is committed to promoting the highest levels of inclusion and independence for the pupil
  • Holds relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning or special educational needs (desirable)
