Job Description:

We are seeking a caring, patient, and committed SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join on of our exclusive Primary schools in the Helston area. This role involves working closely with a child in Year 3 who has complex special educational needs, providing 1:1 support to enable him to access the curriculum and thrive within the school environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting a Year 3 pupil with complex needs on a 1:1 basis
  • Working under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo
  • Helping to implement individual support plans and learning strategies
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Assisting with personal care when necessary
  • Contributing to the child’s overall progress and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with complex needs
  • Demonstrates a nurturing, calm, and consistent approach
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting the child's development
