Semi-Senior Accountant - Independent accounting firm. Job Responsibility

  • Manage your own portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors
  • Prepare year-end accounts, personal tax returns, and VAT returns
  • Support clients using modern cloud software, primarily Engager, Xero and TaxCalc
  • Deliver a high-quality, professional service and build strong client relationships
  • Work closely with the wider team to contribute to a positive, collaborative culture

Requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA preferred)
  • Experience managing your own client portfolio in practice
  • Strong technical grounding across accounts and tax
  • Confident using cloud-based accounting tools, Xero preferred
  • A team-player with excellent communication skills
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering great client service
  • MUST BE based in the UK and eligible to work (no sponsorship available)

Nice to have

Optional involvement in CIS returns, P11Ds and bookkeeping (beneficial to have experience in at least one of these areas)
