Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an Accountancy practice
ICAEW/ ACCA (or equivalent) qualified or qualified by experience
Committed to maintaining their technical knowledge to a high level
Competent in using MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Competent using Xero and accounting software such as Iris or similar
Self-motivated and able to apply relevant skills to new scenarios
Good people and communication skills (including telephone manner)
Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and focus
Ability to work within a team and to be able to complete tasks independently with little assistance
Demonstrates excellent analytical and research skills

Job Responsibility

Assisting in the management of a small portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for ensuring their bookkeeping, management reporting, statutory accounts and any ad-hoc tasks are prepared to a high standard and on a timely basis
Preparation of management accounts and reports
Preparation of VAT returns
Working with the client managers to understand the client's requirements and identifying areas where more detailed advice may be required
Identify opportunities for any additional services that clients may need and liaise with subject specialists
Supporting junior members of staff with their training, including reviewing their bookkeeping
Preparation of billing proposals
