Job Description:

Are you an experienced practice accountant looking to take the next step in your career? We're working with a well-established and growing accountancy firm in Huddersfield that's looking to add a Semi-Senior Accountant to their friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a practice environment and is keen to continue developing their skills in a varied and client-facing role.

Job Responsibility:

Preparing year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients
Handling VAT returns and management accounts
Supporting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting systems
Assisting with tax computations and liaising with HMRC
Working closely with senior team members and partners on more complex assignments

Requirements:

Experience working in an accountancy practice is essential
AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA
Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client service
A team player who's keen to learn and grow
