Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated Semi Senior Accountant to join our Accounts & Tax Department. The Role: This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience looking to further develop their technical accounts and tax knowledge within a supportive and modern firm. The successful candidate will work closely with managers and senior team members whilst taking increasing responsibility for their own portfolio of clients.

Job Responsibility:

Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
Preparation of self-assessment tax returns
Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
Supporting senior team members with client portfolio management
Assisting with tax planning and ad hoc advisory work where appropriate
Maintaining accurate working papers and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and deadlines

Requirements:

Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience
Experience preparing accounts and tax returns
Good technical knowledge and attention to detail
Organised and able to manage workloads effectively
Communicates confidently and professionally with clients and colleagues
Motivated to continue learning and progressing within practice

Nice to have:

Experience using Xero and TaxCalc
