Job Description:

Are you a practice-trained Semi Senior Accountant looking for a step up in responsibility and client exposure? Do you want to join a supportive, modern accountancy firm where you can build your skills across accounts, tax and client service while progressing toward qualification? This is a fantastic opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing practice in Belfast. You’ll work with a varied client portfolio, gain hands-on experience across year-end accounts and tax, and be supported by a collaborative team committed to your development.

Job Responsibility:

Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
Supporting the delivery of management accounts and bookkeeping where required
Working directly with clients to gather information and resolve routine queries
Assisting with month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Developing your technical and commercial awareness through exposure to a wide range of assignments
Supporting junior staff with day-to-day tasks and acting as a positive team influence
Ensuring work is completed efficiently and in line with deadlines

Requirements:

Studying towards ACA or ACCA (or AAT with progression planned)
Experience within a UK/NI accountancy practice in a similar role
Confident preparing accounts and supporting tax compliance work
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
Organised, proactive and comfortable managing deadlines
Good communication skills and a professional client-facing manner
Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment with a genuine desire to progress
Comfortable using accounting software and Excel
