Job Description:

Rewarding opportunities available for experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants to support students with complex emotional and behavioural needs in a vibrant and supportive special educational needs school.

Job Responsibility:

Work with students who exhibit a wide range of challenging behaviours
Manage challenging behaviour using strategies like de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement
Support students individually and in small groups, focusing on emotional regulation, social skills development, and academic support

Requirements:

Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs in a school setting
A strong understanding of child development and learning needs, particularly those with SEMH difficulties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience and a positive attitude
