This specialist setting in Rochdale is looking for a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant. You will be working with a diverse group of students (KS2/3/4) who require additional help with their learning and behavioral regulation.
Job Responsibility:
Lead 1:1 sessions for students who require time away from the main classroom
Support the transition of students between Key Stages and into post-16 pathways
Assist teachers in preparing specialized resources that cater to SEN learners
Provide a consistent and stable presence for students who may have experienced trauma
Accurately record behavioral incidents and progress according to school policy
Requirements:
Experience with SEMH/SEN children is non-negotiable for this position
Full-time commitment (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
Enhanced DBS check is essential
Strong boundary-setting skills coupled with an empathetic approach
