Job Description:

Justteachers is recruiting an SEMH Teaching Assistant for a therapeutic SEN school in Rushden supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs. This full-time role starts ASAP and is ongoing. The role could be ongoing for the right candidate.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide 1:1 emotional and behavioural support
  • Assist with therapeutic activities and interventions
  • Promote resilience and positive coping strategies
  • Support reintegration into classroom learning
  • Work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams

Requirements:

  • Experience with SEMH or youth work essential
  • Strong resilience and ability to build trust
  • Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour strategies
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – non negotiable
  • Two recent, relevant references – non negotiable
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
