Job Description:

Seeking experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a special educational needs school on long-term and supply bases. The role involves supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges, aiding academic success, and developing social skills.

Job Responsibility:

Work with students who exhibit challenging behaviours, including aggression and anxiety
Employ de-escalation techniques, positive reinforcement, and maintain a calm and consistent approach
Support students in emotional regulation, social skills development, and academic support
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs in a school setting
A strong understanding of child development and learning needs, particularly those with SEMH difficulties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience and a positive attitude
