Job Description

We are currently recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants for specialist schools across Surrey and surrounding areas for September starts. These roles involve supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence within education.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping students manage behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Encouraging engagement within lessons and routines
  • Building positive and consistent relationships
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
  • provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
  • hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
