Job Description:

We are seeking a resilient and committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to support secondary-aged learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This is a rewarding but demanding role where you will work closely with students who require structured support, emotional regulation strategies, and consistent boundaries to succeed academically and personally. Important: The school is not easily accessible via public transport, so access to your own transport is highly recommended.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting behaviour management and de-escalation
  • Building positive, professional relationships with students
  • Assisting teachers in delivering adapted lessons

Requirements:

  • Experience in SEMH, behaviour support, youth work, or alternative provision is highly desirable
