Experience supporting pupils in KS3, KS4 and/or Post 16 settings
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Calm, patient, and consistent approach under pressure

Commitment to inclusive and trauma-informed practice
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Job Responsibility

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH and associated needs
Support pupils to access the curriculum while promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
Implement behaviour support plans, risk assessments, and de-escalation strategies
Support learning across a range of subjects, adapting approaches to suit individual needs
Assist with the delivery of personalised learning programmes, EHCP outcomes, and ILPs
Promote independence, self-esteem, and social development
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and progress monitoring
Ensure safeguarding and welfare of pupils at all times
