SEMH School Teacher in Woking: Join a Rewarding Specialist Team. Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher (QTS) with a heart for helping students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? An incredible opportunity awaits you at our independent specialist school in Woking, where we provide a therapeutic, child-centred education for pupils aged 11-17. We're seeking a full-time teacher to inspire and empower our students, many of whom have additional SEND.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teaching Maths and/or English up to GCSE level while planning engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Building positive relationships with students and managing challenging behaviours with a calm, professional, and empathetic approach
  • Contributing to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and participating in school meetings
  • Collaborating with a dedicated team of parents/carers and professionals to ensure holistic student support

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Strong classroom management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep understanding of child development and SEMH
