Job Description:

Transform Lives Through Education in a Specialist SEMH Setting. Job Responsibility:

  • Full teaching responsibilities within a KS1 or KS2 SEMH class
  • Delivering a creative, adapted curriculum that meets individual needs
  • Building trusting, consistent relationships with pupils
  • Planning lessons that incorporate social‑emotional learning and academic progress
  • Working closely with behaviour specialists, TAs and therapists
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, resilience and confidence
  • Creating a safe, predictable and nurturing classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified primary teacher (ECT or experienced)
  • Interest in SEMH, behaviour, trauma‑informed practice or alternative provision
  • Patience, empathy and resilience
  • Calm, consistent and confident in de‑escalation
  • Ability to build strong relationships based on trust and respect
  • Passionate about helping children achieve both emotionally and academically
  • Belief in inclusive practice and the power of early intervention
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
