Job Description:

Pink Tile Education are working with a specialist provision in the Havant area who are seeking a resilient and confident SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. The role will involve supporting pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support within both classroom and intervention settings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support within both classroom and intervention settings
  • Emotional regulation

  • Engagement within learning
  • Social communication

Requirements:

  • Has experience supporting SEMH or challenging behaviour
  • Is calm under pressure
  • Can build positive professional relationships quickly
  • Is confident working both 1:1 and within small groups
  • Understands the importance of consistency and boundaries
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training
  • Have recent experience working with children or vulnerable young people

Nice to have:

Experience within schools, care, youth work, residential support or alternative provision
